System requirements
What you'll need before you start.
Most homes are ready to go. We recommend a licensed professional install a backflow preventer if you don't already have one as many counties require it. Here's what the system needs to perform at its best.
Water.
- 40–80 PSI constant pressure
- 8+ GPM flow rate
- Clean water (well users: add a 100 mesh/150 micron filter)
- 1" PVC or poly pipe
Placement.
- Heads no more than 30 ft from the lawn edge
- No more than 60 ft between heads
- Strong Wi-Fi signal at install location
- 110–240V AC power outlet nearby

Step 1
Trench.
- Measure from the rough center of your zone to determine placement. Max spray distance is 30 feet. Mark the location of each head.
- Locate and tap into your main waterline by shutting off the water, cutting into the mainline underground, and glueing on a tee connector.
- Dig a 12" deep continuous trench line between each sprinkler head location and connect 1" PVC or poly pipe. Up to 8 heads can fit on one line.

Step 2
Smart Controller.
- Find a location that is close to an outlet, has strong WiFi, and a mounting surface - inside or outside.
- Use included mount and hardware to secure your controller to your wall.
- Connect controller to the internet by following the simple in app guide.
- Attach Irrigreen plug-and-play cables per instructions. You can attach up to 16 Irrigreen heads, and also, up to 8 traditional valve zones (e.g. drip zones) to the Irrigreen controller.

Step 3
Smart Sprinkler Heads.
- Flush the water line and connect the Irrigreen heads to the main line pipe with the included 12" flexible pipe.
- Position the sprinkler caps to be 1/2" above the grade. We reccomend you fully bury a small valve box (not visible) next to each head to protect cable connections.
- Starting at the controller, daisy-chain sprinkler heads together with included plug-and-play wiring.

Step 4
Map your zones & set schedule.
- Follow our step-by-step instructions to assign each head to a zone.
- Calibrate your heads so the system learns about your water pressure.
- Drag-and-drop points on the app to program your desired zone shape.
- Set your watering schedules or turn on auto-water and let us determine the optimal amount of water for your lawn.

FAQ
Do you offer financing?
Yes. You can use Affirm on your order.
What happens if Wi Fi goes down?
Your system should keep watering based on the last saved schedule, but you may lose app control and remote access until Wi Fi returns.
Can Irrigreen be used on slopes?
Yes. For best results, watering plans typically use shorter runtimes with cycle and soak to reduce runoff, adjusted for soil type and grade.
Can I connect Irrigreen to an existing irrigation mainline?
Yes* - you can, but the existing pipe may not always line up how you'd like.
Can you splice the wire/cable?
NO.They carry power and data and are extremely sensitive to modification. If you splice the wire the smart sprinkler head will not function and you will need to replace the wire.
Can I tie Irrigreen into an existing controller or timer?
No. Irrigreen smart heads require an Irrigreen controller because they use proprietary digital control, not a standard controller output.
Can multiple zones run at the same time?
It depends on your water supply. Most systems run zones one at a time to maintain consistent pressure and accuracy. If your supply has enough flow and pressure, some configurations may support more than one zone, but it is not always recommended.
Can professionals access or manage systems remotely?
Yes, typically through app based access and shared permissions.
What warranty and professional support does Irrigreen provide?
Irrigreen typically includes a 2 year standard warranty on heads, controller, cables, and Irrigreen parts. An extended warranty can be purchased as well.
