The Irrigreen Smart Controller powers and commands all of your Irrigreen sprinklers, interacts with the Irrigreen app, and uses cloud-based communication to bring the most up-to-date weather information and software updates to your lawn.
The Basic controller is recommended for most users. It can operate up to 16 Irrigreen heads (zones) and 12 traditional zones.
The Pro controller is recommended for very large lawn areas, such as those belonging to parks or apartment complexes, or for users with lots of paths, trees, or other obstacles that can block the stream of a single head. The Pro controller can operate up to 32 Irrigreen heads (zones) and 24 traditional zones.
Pricing for each controller includes 3 years of weather data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I replace an existing Sprinkler Head with Irrigreen?
 
No, Irrigreen sprinkler heads only work with the complete Irrigreen system.
Can I use existing cables?
 
No, Irrigreen cables transfer both power and data from the controller, so your installation should be installed with our proprietary cable system.
How do I know how many heads I need?
 
Each head can cover up to 2,200 square feet without obstacles. If you have trees, pathways, steep hills, or irregular shapes, you may need more. We recommend starting with the bundle that most closely fits your lawn and adding heads if necessary.
How do I know where to put the heads?
 
You can either use the Irrigreen Quote Tool to map out your design or just mark it off with a tape measure. Each head can spray up to a 30 ft radius with standard water pressure. The spray pattern is mapped after installation, so your placement of each head doesn't have to be perfect before you put them in the ground; just make sure each head is less than 30 feet from the edge of your lawn or less than 60 feet from another head.
How durable are Irrigreen heads?
 
Irrigreen heads are tested to simulate ten years of underground durability. We offer a 2-year warranty for peace of mind. If you have an issue with a head during that time that can't be fixed, we'll ship you a new one.
What is your warranty period, and what does it cover?
 
We include a 2-year warranty with all purchases. It covers all Irrigreen parts including heads, cables, and controllers.
How do I install an Irrigreen system?
 
Irrigreen is so easy to install, we find that most customers do it themselves. You can watch our video installation guide here.
Can I retrofit an existing system?
 
Yes! Many of our customers have existing systems in place. The easiest way is to just cap off your old heads and dig a new trench for Irrigreen. You can leave your existing pipes underground -- no need to spend time and effort digging them up.
Can I mix XP and Irrigreen 2.0 heads?
 
You can mix different models of heads if you are replacing old Irrigreen heads and want to upgrade. We do not recommend setting up new systems this way. Our software works best when all of your heads are the same model.
What water pressure do I need?
 
You need 40-80psi. Not sure how much you have? Check with your water provider or do a simple bucket test: if you can fill a 5-gallon bucket from your garden hose in less than 45 seconds, you're in good shape.
